The SA is responsible for increasing revenue and goals related to the distribution of Redi2 Technologies’ Financial Advisory products and services.

Reporting to the Managing Director of BillFin, the SA is responsible for sales and marketing activities, and ensuring those activities are consistent with the overall business plan of the firm.

Sales and marketing activities include but are not limited to:  effectively managing the sales process from lead-generation to contract signing; conveying a positive and clear image of Redi2 to the general financial services market; developing strong market penetration strategies; building a pipeline of qualified sales leads through an appropriate combination of:  1) attendance at industry events and conferences, 2) networking, 3) marketing campaigns and 4) direct mail/email and inside sales calls. The SA is expected to work with the Executive Management team to identify and remove obstacles that arise in the sales process.

Eventually, the SA will be expected to provide a high-level, canned, online demo of BillFin.

In due time, the SA will be guided and trained on how to independently close small to mid-level deals that increase the adoption of BillFin throughout the financial advisory market.

Outcomes

  11. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite.

Territory

The SA will be assigned a territory in which to prospect and cultivate leads.  Territories are subject to change by the Executive Management team at any time.

Base salary and commission/incentive pay are commensurate on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Detailed Responsibilities

Work to populate and maintain direct marketing mail/email distribution lists

The SA is responsible for contributing to the population and maintenance of a list/database of contacts, prospects and clients for the purposes of direct mail and email contact.

Generate new sales opportunities

New sales opportunities are often generated by inbound web-based leads, attending and networking at conferences, prospecting and seeking for referrals from clients and industry contacts; however, the SA should actively seek alternate methods of generating leads. The SA is responsible for managing his or her territory in accordance with input and direction from the Executive Management team.

Conferences – The SA may be invited to attend industry-related conferences as an important method of making contacts and generating sales leads.  The SA may represent Redi2 by attending or exhibiting at conferences. When attending conferences, every attempt should be made to attend the sessions available, including networking sessions, luncheons, dinners, events, etc.

Prospecting – Online lists of registered investment advisors listed by assets under management (AUM) or other prospecting tools should be used regularly.  Inside sales calls, conference leads, e-mail distribution lists and other means of prospecting should be used to maintain a full and consistent pipeline of prospects at all stages in the sales process.

Track activities in the company’s sales management database (Zoho.com)

Trips, activities, notes, along with company names, addresses, decision-makers’ names, titles and any other pertinent information should be logged into the Zoho.com for the SA’s own reference, and for review by the Executive Management team.  Meeting notes should be entered into the database within 48 hours after the meeting whenever possible.

Contribute to the annual sales plans and provide quarterly updates including forecasts of sales revenue

The SA is responsible for contributing to the annual sales plans and submitting quarterly updates to the Executive Management team for review.  The SA may be asked to quantify projections and adjust when necessary.

The annual sales plan should explain how the SA will meet and/or exceed the assigned annual quota by outlining territory management, estimated number of sales calls per month, conferences, etc.

Sales forecasts should consist only of current prospects with a confirmed need and budget.  Forecasts will consist of deals likely to close, with a numeric probability of the deal being closed, within three months, six months, nine months and one year.

Travel, as required, to attend conferences, provide product demonstrations and lead other meetings/negotiations

Extensive travel may be required during peak times (September – November; February – May).  Best practices shall be used to meet with as many prospects as possible in the same city as to avoid unnecessary trips and travel expenses.

Schedule, organize and provide onsite/internet product demonstrations via GoToMeeting

It is the SA’s responsibility to schedule and organize first-round online demonstrations of Redi2’s products and to post detailed meeting notes to Zoho.com.

Additionally, the SA is responsible to send professional follow-up emails within 24 hours of the first-round online demonstration.

Schedule, organize and lead conference calls as needed

It is the SA’s responsibility to schedule, organize and (potentially/eventually) lead conference calls as needed and to post detailed meeting notes to Zoho.com.

Maintain a high level of product and industry expertise

By attending conferences, seminars, reading industry publications and books, the SA should attain and maintain a high level of general financial services industry and billing technology-specific expertise. It is important for the SA to understand prospects’ and clients’ businesses and relate Redi2’s products and solutions to those businesses during the sales process.

Actively build and maintain relationships with prospects

The SA is expected to build relationships with prospects and maintain a positive, professional relationship. This may be done through periodic calls, emails, or office visits while the SA is passing through the same city to attend a conference.

Nurture small, mid, large and complex prospects that have average sales cycle of 2 days to 2 months

Ultimately it is the responsibility of the SA to nurture relationships and close deals to meet or exceed the assigned annual quota.  Redi2’s clients and prospects are small, entrepreneurial organizations with few decision-makers.  The SA must have an understanding of these types of entrepreneurial organizations and how to close deals.

Close small and mid-sized opportunities

In time, the SA should be able to succeed in independently closing small and mid-sized opportunities.

Transition large and complex deals to members of the Executive Management team

For large and complex deals, members of the Executive Management will be involved and when it becomes time to begin discussions related to terms and conditions, it is more efficient and appropriate that a member of the Executive Management team step in and lead the negotiations. The SA should keep in contact with the members of the Executive Management team to know when these transitions are appropriate.

All responsibilities herein are subject to change based on the strengths and weaknesses of the SA.
